| Description | The planned Učka cable car project, which will connect the coast with the peak of mountain of Učka (Medveja - Vojak route), is the continuation of the efforts to increase the quality of the offer and services in the area of Croatia that are touristically most developed and have a long tradition (Primorje-Gorski kotar County and Istria County). That would, along with the extension of the touristic season, contribute to the attractiveness of the wider region because there is no comparable attraction nearby. The unique strategic position of the cable car location ensures a potential for the project to be a world attraction.
Učka is definitely a tourist destination with many recreational and sport activities (hiking, mountain biking, free climbing and paragliding), where many international sports competitions are held. Učka also has many hotels and hospitality facilities of a wide range of categorisation, some of which are located in the Učka Nature Park or very close to Učka (Istria and Kvarner). Project content: - panorama cable car Medveja-Vojak (Učka) system ATW8, - horizontal length of track 4,696.40 m, - starting station Medveja, sea elevation 44.50 m, - incoming station under the peak of Vojak, sea elevation 1,355.00 m - number of pillars: 5, height of pillars: 14, 17, 25, 43 and 45 m - electric power at startup 1060Kw, electric power at work 670 Kw, - driving speed max. 10 m / s, driving speed 7 m / s, - cabin capacity 60 passengers, passenger capacity per hour: 300 passengers, - the planned capacity of the panoramic restaurant at Vojak: 200 seats | |

| Financing descriptive | With own resources, the project will be completed to the stage of validity of the building permit (during 2020). The project is being prepared for a grant application for EU funds. The basis for the application is a Master Plan called "Regional Development of Project Učka", which is the base for making a feasibility study.
A call for proposals for a feasibility study will be announced and opened when the possibility of applying of such projects would be possible. | |
